Fall is such a beautiful season. Only God could make beautiful, something such
as death. Of course, what I’m referring
to are all of the wonderful fall colors in the leaves which are dying. Then when the death of those same leaves is complete,
what’s left is a bare tree. Bareness, if
you really think about it is kind of bleak.
There is just nothing there.
What do we have to compare this to spiritually
speaking? “Precious in the sight of the
LORD is the death of His saints” Ps. 116.15.
To God the death of a believer is beautiful. Why?
Because, they now are safely awaiting the resurrection, no more to be
tempted and hurt. Most importantly they
are safe in His salvation. However,
those of us left behind tend to focus more on the emptiness and the bleakness
when they are gone. I’m so thankful that
we can trust our God. If it is beautiful
to Him, then we can be sure that we can be content on behalf of our loved ones.
